Emmanuelle Alt has unveiled tobe the French Vogue's new editor-in-chief. She will replace Carine Roitfeld, who held the position for 10 years, and will begin on February 1. She was the logical choice, given her contacts with top photographers and knowing the in and outs of the fashion magazine as previous Fashion Director. Emmanuelle will work in close collaboration with Olivier Lalanne, deputy editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, whose  taken more responsability towards the magazine. Ms. Alt, tall, girl next door, often dressed in skinny jeans and known for her sharp shoulder jackets, worked at a number of French women’s magazines, usually in a freelance capacity, before joining French Vogue in 2000. Most of the Vogue staff said that they wanted to give this position to someone who is able to continue the integrity of the editorial, yet bringing a breath of fresh air. "Emmanuelle has all the personal and professional qualities required to continue to make Vogue Paris the world leader in the fashion magazine industry. We have total confidence in her."
