Paramore's Hayley Williams 'So Nervous' About Returning To Stage

After spending a week in near-total silence as a result of a nasty case of laryngitis, Hayley Williams was raring to get back onstage. The only problem was that she didn't know if her voice was up to the task.

So, on Saturday night, backstage at Chicago's House of Blues, the mood was understandably tense. Not only were Paramore resuming their oft-delayed Brand New Eyes tour, but there were serious questions about just what would happen the second Williams strode onstage and attempted to sing.

And, truth be told, even she didn't know what to expect.

Hayley Williams Goes Solo For Jennifer's Body Soundtrack

Whether you've heard about it or not this had people talking a bit. Fans have been wondering why when the soundtrack listing for Diablo Cody's cannibal-tastic film Jennifer's Body was released, Hayley Williams' name was listed, not Paramore. No, this was not a mistake or a sign that she'll be starting her own solo project she assures us, so don't worry.

Hayley Williams and the Charismatic Frontperson Problem

Thursday, Jul. 23 2009 @ 10:32AM

Jennifer's Body is a new movie that's got all kinds of stuff I can really get enough of: Megan Fox, vampires, high school. It's also got a hot-shit soundtrack full of hot-shit music that people over the age of, say, 17, might find irritating: Panic! at the Disco, Cobra Starship, etc. It's all so very 2009-sounding (except maybe Screeching Weasel and Hole), and there's even that Black Kids song.

Anyway, track 3 is apparently a solo number by Paramore singer Hayley Williams, called "Teenagers." As you may recall, when the group appeared in Spin last year, they were adamant about how they're a band, and not just a vehicle for their charismatic, flame-haired singer. (The article was called "Paramore Is a Band," after the slogan Williams wore emblazoned on a shirt to reinforce that point.)

Hayley Williams Wants Everyone To Know That Paramore Is Still A Band

Hayley Williams’ solo contribution to the soundtrack for Jennifer’s Body has led some outlets to engage in a bit of speculation over whether the Paramore singer would be embarking on a solo career anytime soon. But in a post to the band’s Livejournal, she’s pretty adamant over the fact that her solo track is a one-off, and that even though she admires her tourmate Gwen Stefani, she won’t be following in Stefani’s uncomfortably shod solo-career footsteps anytime soon:

Live Shots: Gwen Stefani And Hayley Williams Team Up In Irvine

Irvine, California got a major treat Friday night (July 31) when they got to witness No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani rock the stage with Hayley Williams of Paramore at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

The two looked like big sister and little sister as they sang together. The girl power was tripled when Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds joined them.
