Steve Job on the flight

October 28, 2010 7:21 AM

We've been keeping an eye on Steve Jobs' private jet expenses ever since Morgan Stanley's Katy Huberty recommended that her clients buy Apple (AAPL) based on how much time Steve Jobs was spending in the air.

Well, I thought this was pretty interesting. The analyst is basically saying that the more Steve Job travels on his private jet, the higher the net worth of Apple.

This is because Steve Jobs is seen as an integral part of negotiations and deals. Hence, the more he travels, it means that he is moving into new territories and deals that will eventually expand the system.

But, does this mean that if he does not travel as much, it means that Apple is not doing well?

Well, with the proliferation of e-commerce, a lot of things can happen across the net via business conference. He might not even have to travel at all.

But who knows? We shall see, Apple has just crossed the $300 mark in its share price and might just be going towards the $400s now!
