"The King of Glamour", that's the definition of Julien Macdonald. So does the collection became a twist of rock chick super-glamour. Although there are many designers who have ventured the fine line of chic rock star and sleazy groupie, Macdonald fell to the chic side together with pioneers like Balmain and Cavalli. The big-shouldered, bling-festooned dressing gave his show that extra edge. He used very luxurious materials, like leather and fur galore, including coats crafted from soft, tumbled ostrich skin; midnight blue shaved weasel; or overdyed chinchilla. The collection gives you glamour and rock'n'roll but still manages to keep the pieces practical, stylish and sophisticated.
